While traveling in UK and visiting Bath we came across this cafe by happenstance.  After ordering I realized no reviews since 2014 so this will be an unknown adventure for lunch.  We enjoyed our coffee and tea while waiting for our meal.  We were very pleased when our meal came out looking delicious, and tasting as good as it looked.  Good quality of the ingredients used.  All enjoyed our meal.  I would recommend eating here if you're ever in the area and wanting a refreshing stop for breakfast or lunch.  Enjoy.

Would have given four stars, but the menu is misleading. They offer cream tea for 4.5 pounds, but apparently the 4.5 is only for cream and scones. Why call it cream tea if there's no tea included?

Honestly, I don't mind paying 6.5 for cream tea, but I don't like feeling tricked.

The stars are based on the service. The waitress was nice, when we could find her. It took some 15 minutes for her to take our order. She brought our lattes somewhat fast but the food was nowhere to be seen. The food ended up being take away. Not cool! We were there for 45 minutes, we should have been able to sit and eat without rushing. The coffee was good, though. If you aren't on a schedule, go ahead!

My daughter took me here for a birthday treat  afternoon tea. Whilst the courtyard setting is lovely and the tea was nice enough (scones and cream tasty, jam a little gloopy and tea with a couple of tea bags in the pot), the service was perfunctory (no smile, no chatter, no 'thanks for coming', etc.). Shame, really, as I've been here before a couple of times for coffee and hot chocolate with friends and children and the service has been excellent.

I was amazed to read the last comment as I have been visiting this cafe for the past 8 years & have not once been disappointed. As far as I know, the same lady has been the chef for just about all of that time & the food which is served excellent. The Bath Rarebit is really tasty & is a personal favourite of mine. Baguettes fresh with different fillings & cakes which are very tempting. I have just remembered the lady's name  Kirstie. The staff all seem friendly & are eager to help suggest items from the varied menu.
